Its founder, Antoine LeCoultre, transformed the family barn into a watchmaking workshop and designed revolutionary tools to improve the precision of his creations. Antoine's successor, Jacques-David LeCoultre, definitively changed the destiny of the manufacture in 1903. He accepted the challenge from Edmond Jaeger, a French watchmaker, to develop a revolutionary ultra-thin movement. The two men became partners and merged their companies in 1937, creating the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand. This alliance combined Parisian chic with Swiss watchmaking precision, giving birth to modern haute horlogerie. Today, the manufacture boasts more than 430 patents and 1,400 different calibers.
