Finely chiselled and openwork articulated silver bracelet (hallmark: boar's head). Ratchet clasp in 18Kt yellow gold (hallmark: eagle's head). Victorian work from the end of the 19th century, circa 1885, France. Master's mark of the goldsmith Jules Wiese. Born in 1818 in Berlin, Jules Wiese made a career in France, becoming one of the most skilled engravers of his time. Goldsmith and jeweler, this German settled in Paris in 1839, joining as foreman in the workshop of the famous goldsmith François-Désiré Froment-Meurice.
