Arthus BERTRAND - Egyptian Cat Ring in Silver and Gold

Vintage zoomorphic ring in solid silver and 18 carat 750/1000 yellow gold, stamped with a crab guarantee hallmark as well as the lozenge hallmark of the famous Parisian jeweler Arthus Bertrand. Depicting a finely chiseled and engraved cat in beautiful relief, curling around the finger. Its left ear is pierced and adorned with a movable circular ring in yellow gold. Furthermore, the ring is decorated with Egyptian protective symbols such as the Eye of Horus and the winged scarab of the goddess Isis. This ring is a reproduction of an ancient Egyptian model discovered in a temple at TELL BASTA, on the Nile Delta, and kept in a French museum (probably the Louvre Museum).
