Originality? Let the Solo do the talking! Description As timeless as ever, here's a no less original version of the Tank Solo ref. 3170, in steel and quartz movement. The little extra? This model is sold with box and papers. With its steel stainless steel case measuring 24 x 31 mm, it is an attractive alternative to the gold Tank Louis Cartier. A Tank with originality, thanks to its mother-of-pearl dial subtly featuring the Maison Cartier monogram logo. An iridescent dial that you won't come across very often, offering a lovely play of light. The off-white strap, signed Cartier, completes the picture. As with many Tank Solo models, it is mounted on a folding clasp. To try the folding clasp is to adopt it! And more, practicality, the strap is easily adjustable. Why did Françoise choose it? Because it's a Tank and offers a different take on the Louis Cartier gold model. It boldly breaks the codes of the classic Tank while retaining the characteristics of its elder sister. Françoise loves the crazy dials offered by Cartier. This originality is more than welcome: Cartier never ceases to surprise. This Tank Solo with its "siglé" dial will add a touch of originality to your outfit, always with style, since it's a Cartier watch. Wear it on its clear or more colorful bracelet: it's up to you! It's hard not to love this Cartier, which knows how to play with its own codes, to play with its classic history, and to stand out from its wise and classic predecessors in gold! Limited edition? Anniversary edition? Limited to one country or one boutique? Impossible to know, but impossible for Françoise to miss! Story The Tank watch, known as the Tank Normale, first appeared in 1917. In honour of the heroes of the First World War, its design inspired by the first tanks. Five years later, the Tank Louis Cartier was created, a model very similar to the first, but with a longer dial and thinner, rounded stretchers. Several generations followed, retaining the same identity codes while adapting to new watchmaking technologies such as quartz. Numerous celebrities have adopted it, including Jackie Kennedy, Lady Diana, Alain Delon, Catherine Deneuve, Yves Saint-Laurent, Gary Cooper, Johnny Hallyday and Sophia Coppola, to name but a few. The Solo model in steel model appeared in the 2000s. Will you be next?
